The dearest blue grass music symbol (and brand new Stone and Roll Corridor of Notoriety inductee) is the new beneficiary of tycoon Jeff Bezos’ Boldness and Mutual respect Grant, which conveys a $100 million gift for Parton to present to her preferred foundations.
“Did you say $100 million bucks?” a wowed Parton asked as she joined Bezos, the second-most extravagant individual on the planet (after Elon Musk), and his accomplice Lauren Sanchez to acknowledge the distinction on Frida.
Past beneficiaries incorporate CNN have Van Jones and Spanish cook José Andrés.
“When people are in a position to help, you should help. I know that I’ve always said I try to put my money where my heart is and I think you do the same thing,” Parton told the crowd. “I will do my best to do good things with this money.”

Bezo tweeted a clasp of declaration on Saturday, commending the star for her liberal nature.
“We’ve just announced a new Courage and Civility award recipient – @DollyParton, who leads with her heart, and will put this $100 million award to great use helping so many people,” he wrote.
As Bezos presents her in the clasp, he says, “How she’s helped children, proficiency thus numerous different things is simply fantastic.”
