Lions fans have 2-word answer debate in group’s misfortune to Cowboys

The Lions were arguably robbed from going 12-4

Detroit Lions fans are not letting go of their loss to the Dallas Cowboys any time soon. The Lions, quite literally, had the game won after they succeeded on a two-point conversion that gave them a 21-20 lead with just 23 seconds to go – but the refs threw a flag.Jared Goff threw a pass to offensive lineman Taylor Decker, but refs said he did not report as an eligible receiver, thus negating the play. Detroit eventually lost, 20-19.

In any case, Brad Allen and his group became Public Foe No. 1 when video seemed to show Decker, Penei Sewell and Dan Captain apparently talking about qualification before the play.

In the postgame, the clarifications went against one another. Goff said he was certain Decker revealed as a qualified collector and Captain had not. Allen said Captain answered to him as a qualified collector however at that point went to the tackle spot, which implied he didn’t need to report by any means. Decker was at that point in the game.

NFL fans, and apparently the Lions, appeared to be sure that refs considered some unacceptable lineman qualified, denying the Lions of a reasonable triumph.

Indeed, Lions fans took their convictions to something else altogether this week.

A few expressway bulletins in Detroit gave proper respect to Decker with one perusing “DECKER Detailed,” as per FOX 2 Detroit.

Another board had the Lions’ genuine record, “11-5,” crossed out, with “12-4” composed next to it, which would probably be their record had refs not tossed a banner.

Allen and company will have one more tall undertaking on their hands this week. That group will be in Baltimore for a urgent matchup between the Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers, in spite of having other early evening contentions currently this season.
